The Witcher 3 offers an incredibly large and atmospheric open world that invites you to explore. The game world is beautifully designed, varied and full of details. Particularly impressive are the landscapes, cities, forests and villages, all of which seem lively and unique. Gameplay-technically, the game offers a wide range of weapons, armor, abilities and equipment. The level system allows for different game styles, while the alchemy system and the witcher signs offer additional tactical options. Also worth exploring, as there are hidden treasures, monster camps and interesting places everywhere. Another highlight is the fantastic atmosphere. The soundtrack fits perfectly with the game world and together with the ambient sounds ensures an intense gaming experience. The graphics are also impressive for a game of this age and can be seen even today. Of course, The Witcher 3 also has some weaknesses. The combat system sometimes feels a bit stiff and monotonous and can become repetitive in the long run. The control is occasionally imprecise and in need of getting used to. Especially riding with roach does not always work reliably. The inventory system could also be much clearer. Some animations now seem a bit outdated and the loot system sometimes offers too many unnecessary items, which can make collecting at some point annoying.
