I was looking forward to the release for a long time and literally devoured the game after the start. Within four days I was through and had also bagged the platinum trophy. That probably says more than enough about how much fun I enjoyed the game and what pull it developed. The combat system is one of the highlights for me. Playing a soulslike from an ego perspective is a welcome change and feels refreshingly different. I also particularly liked the varied areas or the general setting and the harmonious sound backdrop. However, I have one criticism about the difficulty level. For the unfortunately generally few main bosses, only 1 to 2 were really demanding. On the other hand, I have just come into sweating with some standard opponents and mini bosses at first and was allowed to experience one or the other resurrection on the lantern. In the later course of the game, however, you become so powerful through certain abilities or the perfected Parieren that even no-hit passages become possible. So it is a pity that the challenge diminishes with increasing game progress. But that doesn’t change the fact that I had an incredible amount of fun with the game. I am already looking forward to the DLC or hopefully a sequel. .
