  • Call of Duty: World at War2008

Call of Duty: World at War is a first-person shooter set during World War II, focusing on the Pacific and Eastern Front theaters. The single-player campaign follows two perspectives: U.S. Marine Private C. Miller fighting against the Imperial Japanese Army across islands in the Pacific, and Soviet Red Army Private Dimitri Petrenko advancing from Stalingrad to Berlin. The game features more graphic violence than previous entries in the series, including limb dismemberment and destructible environments. Multiplayer retains the leveling, perk, and killstreak systems from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The game also introduced the cooperative Nazi Zombies survival mode, in which up to four players fight increasingly difficult waves of undead while purchasing weapons and unlocking new areas.

  • Guitar Hero World Tour2008

Guitar Hero: World Tour is the fourth main game in the series and brings a major change to the concept. Following the release of Rock Band that built on the Guitar Hero concept but added additional instruments, World Tour introduces these as well to allow players to play together simultaneously as a real band. Next to the guitar that was the main peripheral for the previous titles, the bundled edition of the game adds a microphone for the vocal parts and drums for percussion. Just like the previous game, the guitar tracks are split up for the lead and bass. The lyrics and the vocal pitch is shown near the top of the screen, while the bottom part is split up for bass guitar, lead guitar and drums, each with a separate set of notes that need to be hit to correctly play the part.

  • James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace2008

007: Quantum of Solace is a James Bond video game based on the films Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Several versions of the game were released across seven platforms, with the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PC versions designed as first-person shooters and the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS versions as third-person shooters. It is powered by the Call of Duty 4 game engine. The core gameplay in Quantum of Solace is that of a first-person shooter. Throughout the game, however, the view switches to third person to emphasize that the player is playing as James Bond. This third-person view is used with a cover system and quick time events, among other scenarios. An example is using quick-time events to chase Mollaka during a level that recreates the construction-site chase at the beginning of the Casino Royale film.

  • Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 22009

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 is the second game in the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance series, and is loosely based on the events of the Civil War comic book story line. It brings with it a larger roster of heroes and villains to play as, as well as more ways to utilize your team in battle.

Time is power. Multiplayer included but is no longer filled with an active community.

  • Spider-Man: Web of Shadows2008

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is a video game title encompassing three versions: a full-3D action game for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360; a 2.5D sidescrolling beat em up action game for the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2 (called Amazing Allies Edition), and a 2.5D side-scrolling brawler/platformer for the Nintendo DS. The game mainly consists of the player shooting his way through hordes of different types of Nazis, ranging from normal soldier to ninjas. To deal with the large amount of enemies, the player has access to many typical WWII-weapons like the German MP40 or K98 rifle. In addition, during the course of the game he finds the medallion and learns four powers. While at first entering the Veil only allows him so see enemies more clearly and use strange flying creatures as bombs, he is later able to slow down time, surround himself with a protective shield or make himself stronger.
